Internet Explorer 7.0

Here’s some news a lot of web designers/developers might like to know about, provided they haven’t already found out the hard way, as I did.

It seems that IE 7.0 interferes with certain menu items within Dreamweaver 2004 MX, causing DW to crash. I found this out while attempting to work in a Dreamweaver extension widget for SoThink Menus. I later found items in the DW Help menu to be corrupt, crashing DW, as well. Long story short, having tried several workarounds, I finally uninstalled IE 7.0 and EVERY problem went away without a hitch. Now DW works flawlessly again with IE 6.0 and Firefox 2.0.

Now, if I can just keep IE 7.0, despite its numerous good points, off my system when the auto update push comes within a few weeks.
