Issues with Word 2000 in different OS’s

I have a client that has a small home office, his desktop is running Win98 and his laptop is running WinXPP. Both machines are using Office 2000 Pro.

When the client creates a document on the Win98 machine, and then copies it to the laptop to take on the road, he experiences lock-ups and crashes of the Office. Including the loss of cut and paste functionality as well as an overall hit on performance. Everyone I’ve spoke to is surprised by this issue.

Any Ideas?
