Latitude/longitude calculations in Excel

I have a need to calculate distances (2-D or great circle, not important) between two sets of lat/lon coordinates and display that distance in an adjacent cell. I’d like to be able to enter either set of coordinates in a single cell, but that’s not mandatory. The notation isn’t an issue. Any ideas?
