Legend in an Access Report

I have several tables that contain just numerical codes and the description of those codes. In reports that I create, which contain multiple code fields, I would like to include Legends of the codes in the report footer rather than including description fields in the body of the report.

I have copied and pasted the table contents into the report footer, and while the result was not bad, I would like the information to be dynamic rather than static as these codes tend to be updated or changed over time.

Does anyone have a better method than I described above?
