Lenovo Vista recovery DVD

I recently purchased Thinkpad T60. I also recieved my Vista upgrade DVD and I got a set of Vista recovery DVDs. However when I try to rever my product from recovery DVDs I get the message Please insert operating system disk into drive D. I tried all 4 DVDs however none worked. Is it because I don’t have the preload partition?
