Linking buttons to fields & autonumbers

1.i am really new to access and i want to link a field to a button to send an email (hopeefully without VB code) help ASAP

2. Secondly, i want a way of having autonumbers act as an ID in the format MLdate()00001 this means like the first client would be ML19040200001, the second would beML19040200002 and so on, how can i use inut masks to act as autonumbers
