looking for scanning software

I need a free or inexpensive software for scanning. I don’t need ocr software. What i need is to be able to scan to pdf and tif. The scanner, a fujitsu, came with a demo of quickscan but I looked it up and the price of the software was $900… A little too much.. a lot actually.

anyone have any ideas?
