Lotus Notes Problem

When I attempt to send an attachment using lotus notes, the icon of the attachment does not appear. All I see and all the recipients of the email see is the text name of the attachment. I’m using lotus version 5 and my desktop is using XP. Attachments appear fine with Windows 2000. Any thoughts?
