Mail Merge Wizard in Word XP

I recently installed Windows 2000 on my PC. I have Word XP and PC Docs. When I try to run the mail merge wizard in Word, I get an error message that says cannot complete due to a dialog or database error, try again later. How do I fix the mail merge wizard. I believe all other wizards are working correctly.
