Microsoft ActiveSync and Outlook Folders

I have gotten mixed answers as to whether all Outlook folders in a pst file can be synchronized with a Pocket PC using Activesync. A support person told me that only Contacts, To Dos, and Inbox folders can be synchronized. He also said that messages in sub-folders under the Inbox will not ever be synchronized.

Is this true? If so, is the 3rd party software that will mirror my PC Outlook folder on the Pocket PC?
