move databases – sql 7 to sql 2000

Hello,

We are in a bit of a pickle. We have sql 7 running on a p2, 256mb ram, NT 4.0 server. The server is getting a tremendous amount of traffic each day so we need to upgrade to a better server (hardware). We are at a standstill as we are unable to us any of the methods posted here:

We are unable do the deed via DTS on the new machine (we have tested with several). As well, we are unable to export any scripts. The backup is not working correctly either…

We are thinking that we have to build everything from scratch?

Any information or suggestions would be great!!
