MS Access2000 DB with Forms from Oracle

Can we create linked tables in MS Access via ODBC; and use the linked tables in a moderately sophisticated MS Form application for data entry, as well as allow users freedom to create their own custom reports?
The Schema uses a few joined tables containing a relatively small number of records.

How are error events on the server normally addressed in a MS Form? I have tried to collect tracing information from the MS ODBC driver but how do you write code to respond to the Error? Is the entireconnect string used in the On Error event? Do we use/bypass explicitly stated connect strings?
