Ms Excel 97 – Unable to Save As

User unable to Save As to another file name and system automatically give default system name ( ie: 572AB000) with unknown file extension..and it seems like it cannot recognize the file ext and user need to reopen/refresh the file. This will increase the file server space rapidly..pls help me
