MS outlook 2002 – cant connect to server

Since upgrading from dial up to broadband I can no longer send or receive email with outlook 2002. I can send and receive with outlook express however. When I text the connection settings in outlook I get the “Establish network connection: unable to connect to the internet or the network…” error. I have tried installing/uninstalling outlook and the problem is still there. Any ideas on what would be causing it? I called my ISP and they could’nt figure it out either.
