MS Outlook Error 0x800ccc0d

Recently, I installed a new hard drive as well as Win2K and MSOffice 2000. Upon configuring my Internet and E-mail connections (I am connected via a DSL Lan through Ameritech), when I attempt to receive my mail through Outlook I receive the following error message:

‘The Server could not be found, account: mailhost.chi@ameritech.net Pop3Server mailhost.chi@ameritech.net, Error 0x800ccc0d’

According to Microsoft’s knowledge base results on my query, they say that it is probably due to firewall software that can prevent communications with my mail server. Problem is, I have no firewall software installed on my home PC. I have no problem with my Internet connection. Can anyone give me a clue as to what to do next? Thanks much…
