MS Word 2000 opens in Design Mode for Co

We are having a problem with MS Word 2000 opening in the Control Design Mode.

Our forms have control boxes that the users click on or off to indicate certain information. How do we get the forms to open in the normal mode so that the users do nothave to continuously turn it off.

If they do not turn off the Design Mode, then they are unable to check off the boxes causing a lot of confusion for the lower level computer users.

Any direction or comments would be greatly appreciated.
