MS Word file dialogs & property settings

I regularly want to see the other file properties in MS Word ‘file new’ and ‘file open’ dialogs. I set the dialog box to show the title and subject saved as part of file properties and set the column widths. Sometimes it sticks and sometimes it doesn’t. Is there a registry or other setting somewhere to make these selections permanent?
