I am producing a cookbook, and used Access to hold the recipes and merged them into a ‘directory’ in Word. I have continuous section breaks throughout to allow the ingredients list for each recipe to flow in two columns and then the directions to go back to one column. I have the page set-up to be bookfold. Everything works fine on the merge and prints exactly as it should. The problem is I can’t get page numbers to appear. When I insert page numbers in the footer, it only shows page 1,2,&3 even though the status bar shows that there are 42 pages. I would also like to create a TOC for this as well, but it only shows pages 1,2&3. How can I get page numbers to work? Do I have too many section breaks? or is it something to do with the bookfold setting? or both?
I would love some sort of answer to this, because my last resort is physically typing page numbers on my master hard copy prior to printing – ick!
