Need FREE Hit Counter

Since no one else is answering my questions on the FrontPage hit counter not working, can someone lead me to a site where I can download a hit counter program for my site? Now this cna not be something I have to sign up for and have some other site maintain my counts. This must be a program I can download and use without registering any info on any site.
