Network printer not recognized on win 2000 from xp home

I am trying to network a printer from a machine with xp home to a machine that has 2000 Professional on it. Machine with 2000 has the printers connected to it. I have networked both machines and the 2000 pro machine is able to view the mshome network and select printers from it but the xp home machine can only see the printers on itself. I have disable firewall on xp home. I do not know how to on 2000 pro machine. my question is first, why can’t the xp home machine see the other printers on the network? Thanks for any help.
All the printers are shared also.
