New Exchange Server

I have just created a new Exchange 2000 email server. The old Exchange 2000 server is still running. (hardware upgrade) When i send a test message to a test account on the new server i receive it. When i send an outbound message from the new server i receive, “You do not have permission to send to this recepient.”

Any help would be appreciated.
