Nextel.blackberry.net profile removal

I have just reassigned a 7100 Blackberry that had a Nextel.blackberry.net profile and after synching the Blackberry everything works except emails sent from the unit. These send messages still show the previous users profile. We’ve tried master reset and wipe and several other tricks. Any ideas?
