Off97 needs ?files del 2do clean install

I have a user with outlook 97. When I switch to internet email from MS exchange outlook created SEVERAL personal folders in the folder list that can not accessed or deleted. “the set of folders could not be opened. the requested information store could not be found in the active profile” is there a way to get rid of these folders?
