Office 2000 watermark

I have a user who created a watermark that can only be seen when printed. I’m trying to delete the watermark but a can’t see it when I go I View|header and footer can anyone please help me out. User not sure how she made the watermark I made on to test on it on my PC but I’m running office XP user has a pen 4 with win98, and Office 2000 standart.
