I have a Celeron 800PC.
Operating system Win98SE.
Works Suite 2001 OEM loaded with Win98SE.
Office 2000 Pro loaded AFTER Works Suite.
Everything working OK, for months, until this week.
Problem:
When Access is opened Office 2000 Access starts OK, and shows ID from Office 2000 Pro disks.
When Word 2000 [from Office 2000 Pro ]is opened the system locks, and the program pop-up start box shows attempt to open Works Suite OEM.
When a document previously created in Office Pro 2000 is opened from Explorer the PC locks and again shows an attempt to open Works OEM 2000 WinWord.
Works Suite 2000 OEM ‘WinWord’ will open all documents created in Office Pro 2000 and Works 2000 Suite.
Even from the Office Directory initiating WinWord locks the PC and the pop-up box ID program indicats Works OEM from Worsk 2000 Suite.
I have uninstaled Office 2000 Pro and reinstalled with no diference.
It appears that any attempt to start Word from Office 2000 Pro initiates Office Suite WinWord with file conflicts as the program tries to launch from two different directories at the same time.
Any help would be apreciated.
