Office SP3 Outlook security features in macros

After installing Office 2000 SP3, running macros that access Outlook from another application, Outlook returns the security message that another program is trying to access email and you have to wait 5 seconds to confirm the send process. It takes all automation out of the macro. Anyone know of a work around? I sure would like to know one. MS has this listed as a know Outlook Security issue.
