Offline Issues

Good Morning All,
Ok I have Outlook 2002, with which I connect to Exchange 5.5 over a vpn.
I connect to dial-up then vpn,
Open Outlook, choose work offline
I then compose emails & do send/recieve No Problem
However if I then do any more emails and try to send them I get undeliverable report.
Any Ideas?
