Opening Document Causes Word To Crash

I have a problem with one PC. There is a Word 2000 document on a shared network drive. When anyone tries to access the file from one particular PC, the document will open for 3 to 5 seconds, then closes with “Winword.exe has caused errors and willclose”. It doesn’t matter who is logged into the PC. The file can be opened from any other PC. All the PCs are running Windows 2000 Professional. I’ve tried re-installing Office, deleting the normal.dot files, inserting the suspect file into another document…nothing works.
