Oracle 10g CREATE pfile…from spfile in ASM.

We are trying to enable AWE support on our Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition running Oracle 10g database and per Oracle Note #225349.1. We are using ASM and in turn our spfile is stored there. I need to comment out the db_cache_size parameter and can’t find an alter command to do this. I have tried to create a pfile to edit but it is apparently storing it in ASM as well. Have we found a potential bug?

Any advice would be appreciated.
