Outlook 2000 Emails Open Minimized

Hopefully, this will make sense.

When I open Outlook 2000, and I double-click on a message in the Inbox the message opens but in the background. For example, when I double-click on a message it looks like nothing has happened but if you look down at the taskbar you can see that the message has opened. If you click on the message on the taskbar the email still doesn’t open. I need to minimize the main Outlook program in order to see the message.

This has been happening randomly. Sometimes it works fine, other times it does the above.

I’m running Windows 2000.
