Outlook 2000 /no Exchange Server

When trying to open Outlook 2000 on a Windows 98 PC I get the following message.
Network problems are preventing connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer.
Here’s the problem. I don’t have an Exchange Server. How do I get this to stop?
