Outlook 2002 Delegate problem

Hi,
50 user Lan, win2k server, win2k pro, officeXP.

we use delegate rights for access into each others calendar, task list etc.

Now (isn’t it always the boss)
my boss cannot set delegate for his new PA,
what happens is, you choose all the levels of access e.g. calendar=reviewer, tasklist=editor, etc then apply / OK.
but if you go straight back into options it has not been set (remembered).
the auto email goes out telling the PA that she has access but the access does not work.

access for the previous delegate (the ex PA) still works !
please help me, my boss is losing faith in me.
