Outlook 2003 Reminders will not Show!

My CEO asked me to get rid of the pop-up window for his reminders, hes has a couple hundred. When he fires off outlook, it takes up to 5 minutes for all the reminders to cycle a couple times before the windo settles down.
I went in and unchecked to view the reminders window. to solve his dilemna, however, now when we click view, reminders window, his reminders do not list out in the reminders window.

What setting am i missing??

UPDATE: forgot to mention, I have run the switches /cleanreminders & /resetfolders per Microsoft.
