Outlook 2003 tasks show completed

I have 3 users that use tasks in Outlook extensively and since upgrading to 2003 some tasks show completed on one persons list and on the assigned it shows 0% completed. Outlook is using cached mode on all 3 users running Windows XP SP1 and are being handled on Exchange 2003. These users state that they have not made any changes to the task since it was assigned.
