Outlook automatically enters name

In Outlook 2002 under XP, my name in the form, [First Last], (in bold italics) is automatically entered at some point in an outgoing email message after I press Enter for a new paragraph. What is the cause? How do I stop it?
Note: My signature settings are “None”.
