Outlook Closes after 10 seconds

Help, please. I have a computer in our office that was recently infected with a lot of spyware and a virus. I’ve run Symantec virus scanner and everything comes out clean now. However, for some reason Outlook will not stay open – all of the other Office 2000 programs are fine.

When I log in under SAFE mode, Outlook does stay open. This computer is running on XP Operating System. Any suggestions? I’ve already downloaded critical updates and installed latest updates for the 2000 Suite. Please help if you can.
