Outlook Express settings

In outlook express 6 on windows xp home.
I set the pop and smtp server names.
Restart the computer.
The pop server address goes from
‘my name.tiscali.co.uk’ to ‘LOCAL HOST’
The smtp server remains unchanged.
Why is this happening and how can I prevent it?
On every restart the pop server is specified as ‘LOCAL HOST’?
