Outlook Express won’t Stay Default Mail

We are running Office Logic (Lan-Aces – version 3.00.13, no longer supported). I have it set NOT to be my default mail client. We use this for internal office email.

We have Outlook Express (this same problem happens for 5, 5.5, & 6). I have it set to be the default mail client. Problem is, OE will not STAY the default mail client.

I need either a startup for OE that will make it the default mail client, a registry hack that will make OE the DMC, a way to make OE check to see if it si theDMC on startup, or what? I am willing to try any and all suggestions!!!!!
