For years, I have experienced the same problem
with a dysfunctional outlook program. All “sends”
fail to process, and “receives” are “hit and miss”. Granted my provider changed the name of
their ISP but that did not affect my email address name. Obviously, the new name of the provider was reentered in the fields of the Outlook protocols in “My Computer”. What happens
is, when my second programmer adjusts the problem
by opening a new mail address, that disables the
machine for getting it’sdial up connection.
In reference to an almost completely “disabled”
Outlook, is this problem an indication of what
would happen if Yahoomail, Netscapemail, and
AOLmail turn into Eudora like applications that
work with the harddrive instead ofbeing hosted
on their own computers? And, in fact since my
problems with Outlook malfunctions preceded my
ISP’s name change- what could be the probable
cause of such “errors” and would these sort of
errors be a “big headache” to the support staffs
of the reputable companies that give good service
to their email subscribers?
