Hi all,
I am running a couple of windows 2003 terminal servers with outlook 2003. The average joe user cannot open jpeg files as an attachment from an e-mail. If the jpeg is saved first it is able to be opened. (I know, just save it first. The boss wants them to not have to do that.) Users with admin rights have no problems. Windows picture and fax viewer is that app that is set to open the files.
The error message is “This operation has been canceled due to restrictions on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.” I have disabled the group policy in active directory and signed on as a user. No luck. I have checked the local security policy on the machine and couldn’t locate anything to do with outlook or attachments. I looked at the settings in outlook itself and they seem OK.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.
