Outlook Removing Word Attachments

I’m running Outlook express (Windows XP), and have recently realised that Word attachments are being removed (at this stage I have only noticed it with word attachments). When I receive an email with the attachment, the email comes through minus the attachment, and I get the message “OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail”. Please help.
