Hi.
I have 4 exchange 5.5 servers in different sites (Physicaly and in exchange topology) across europe.
In our london site, I installed a new server and moved all london mailboxes onto the new server (hardware upgrade). I followed the Q on best practices during 1st server removal. Anyway, After I deleted the old server I started getting the message “Outlook is requesting data from OLDSERVER”. OLDSERVER being the name of the server I deleted. Strangest thing is that I had clients in a different exchange sites with the same message. After recreating all the profiles the problem seemed to go away, but recently I am now getting the same message but asking for a different server in our Madrid site. This server is the newest installation and doesnt even hold any mailboxes yet. This message appears on clients in any one of the exchange sites. ie. My mailbox, for example is located in the London Site. I sometimes get a message that outlook is requesting data from the server in the Madrid site.
Any ideas… Please help… Its all very wiered..
