Outlook Today will not open

We use Office 2000 Pro on an XP pro PC & Exchange 2000. When trying to open Outlook today, Outlook freezes & reports an error in outlook.exe. I have re-installed Office with no success I have tried opening Outlook today from another PC with no success. The fault only happens to one e-mail account. I think the problem lies in the exchange server but do not know how to resolve it. Help!! pleae.
