partitioning-with acronis partition expe

i was using acronis partition expert when my winme was already installed on a 40gb hdd.
everything was ok until i used norton system works discdoctor. it detected an error and changed partition table. third partition was gone and some programs(not yet installed) and access was denied to some softwar on desktop.
i use nsworks because it helped me much and i do not know yet a better alternative. but acronis partition expert cannot exist with nsworks. total chaos broke out. i have now used ontrack diskmanager and reinstalled windows, now win2k.
