PCDOCS ICONS

In PCDOCS, now called DOCSOPEN, the icons for Word, Exel, and Access (I believe) are to appear in the Workspace by default. Intermittently, after a new install, the Workspace is blank. No icons appear at all. Any ideas what could be causing this,or how to fix it?
