Pictures Cannot Be Opened or Seen

I have an e-mail, which for some reason, was saved as an “htm” document. I’m using Outlook 2000 with Windows 2000.

What kinds of software, FREE hopefully, are out there that are safe to use in trying to open these pictures?

They are saved as .gif files with long names, such as (ATT-0-98FE51A06911D611AE480002A508EAC1-ATT22169.gif). I believe they are from someone’s digital camera.

I also am using Microsoft Photo Editor as my viewer for .gif and .jpg files. Anything better?
