Print spooler not starting

Hi all,

I have recently found that many of my Win200 and XP clients have had this issue as well as experiencing it myself.

When the machine is rebooted, they suddenly find
that they have no printers installed. Upon inspection of the services, I find that the print spooler is not running. I go in manually and turn it on with no problem. Nothing in the logs, no errors. I have set the service recovery to restart upon failure, but it does not help. I have resorted to a monitoring program that turns on the spooler if it turns off.

Anyone see/experience this problem?
