Problem uninstalling VistaScan

Hi,
I’ve tried to install VistaScan and on boot-up it asks for the device file UMAXIS11.386, which isn’t nessecary for the system as I’m using an Adaptec SCSI card, however after the application is removed it still asks for this file, any suggestions?
