problem with Excel

When I key in number ‘1’ in a cell and moves to the next cell, the number ‘1’ becomes invisible. When I hightlight the cell with color, the number ‘1’ shows up. I have no problem with other numbers like ‘2’, ‘3’ ‘4’ etc…
