Procedure Entry Point not found in NAV

I am running Norton Anti Virus 2002 version 8 on a WinNT sp6a machine. When I run LiveUpdate and there is a program update, I get the following error message: “The Procedure Entry Point GetLongPathNameA could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll”. All other updates (virus definitions, live update, etc.) will download and install without a problem. Only updates for the actual program itself will not install. I cannot find anything referencing this on Symantecs web site. I need help. Thanks!
